Steelworxx Steelheart CB

Submitted by: charles_the_chaste

I have been locked in the Steelheart by Steelworxx (steelworxx.de) for 8 days so far, and will offer my first impressions and a few user tips.

First, I would suggest that before ordering one of these devices, you should get practice (at least a few months' worth) with a CB3000 or similar CB. By so doing you will get a clear idea of the (easily adjusted) crucial dimensions that ensure the highest level of security. Other than shipping costs, Steelworxx will make alterations for free if you do not get the dimensions correctly, but there is a 4-6 week time delay, during which the entire CB is shipped back and reworked or replaced. Besides getting as clear a picture as possible of your personal dimensions, you'll want a "backup CB" for the alteration period should one be needed.

The Ordering Process:

This has been adequately covered in previous reviews of this company. The only thing I would add (for US customers) would be to have a handy "inches to millimeter" conversion chart, for stating the dimensions. There are a number of these available via Google.com. It is very important to send extra emails back and forth with Dietmar, the proprietor, to ensure that you are both on the same page. Dietmar is very helpful, professional, and prompt in responding, however his English is a bit sketchy, your German may be nil, and clarification is key. It is worth spending a few extra days to make sure you are talking about the same things. Once the order was placed the CB arrived within two weeks, registered mail, from Germany to Washington State, USA.

First Impressions:

The finish work is excellent. The fit and finish are very smooth and exact. Unfortunately, I had extrapolated on measurements, and misjudged on a crucial dimension. I communicated with Dietmar, sent the entire package back to him (these evidently are handmade, so even if you just need a different size A-ring, you will need to ship back the entire device). 6 weeks later arrived the second version. The quality of steel appears first rate. As I mentioned, the device appears handcrafted. The process of fitting, locking and unlocking, is straightforward, and gets even easier with practice.

Wear-ability, Comfort Appearance - Waking Hours:

Donning the device is similar to the CB2000, 3000, and Curve devices, except that there is no additional pin to stick in anywhere, no spacer rings to keep track of, and in my case, no padlock to insert and lock. Once you have worked yourself into the A-ring, you simply slide, push, and force the penis into the tube until the tube abuts the A-ring. Keep a finger inside the top of the A-ring, holding the skin away from the join-point as the two pieces are finally snapped together (important! that's a memorable little nip to the skin otherwise!)

This device is a bit heavier in weight than plastic CBs of course, but the trade-off is in overall increased comfort. The profile or bulge against clothing is less than with the CB3000, making it easier to wear with tighter clothes, like jeans, and still be comfortable. With the integrated lock, there is no protruding padlock or other abrupt surface ripping holes in your underwear. The diameter of the A-ring material is less than the acrylic of the CB X000 so there is actually less material forcing your legs apart - a subtle difference but to me an important one.

Wear-ability, Comfort - Sleeping:

With just a small pillow or a scrap of blanket between your legs, you can actually sleep comfortably on your side. You can also comfortably sleep on your stomach. Nocturnal erections are much less painful as long as you have contrived to keep the A-ring up close, high and tight. This has to do with choosing the correct tube length, diameter, and A-ring inner diameter. For instance, if you've shrunken down inside the tube, and then your erection gets fatter before getting longer, then you will force the tube away from your body and the A-ring along with it, which is not comfortable, to say the least. I had this same situation with the CB3000 until I figured out about tube diameter (see Tips, below).

Security:

With the CB3000, I could easily get out due to the amazing flexibility of the flaccid penis, as well as the large gap between the A-ring and the bottom of the tube. With the Steelheart, I can still get my penis out of the tube part, whose top is only 5mm distant from the A-ring, essentially a one piece affair, once assembled. However, the big difference is the small distance between the A-ring and the bottom of the tube. Dietmar recommends no more than 10mm for that measurement. I was concerned that this measurement would be too small for comfort, but went with his recommendation anyway and I am glad I did. It is comfortable, with the correct A-ring dimension, and there is no way I can get my balls through that gap! The first and last time I tried this I was fortunate to have the key handy, as I'd wound up stuck in the device by the balls. Any erection at that point would have been excruciating. Needless to say, with my wife-KH in charge of the keys, I don't try that trick anymore.

Hygiene:

There is a smaller urine hole on the Steelheart than on the CBXK devices. Blotting is essential and forget about standing up to pee.

Since you are completely enclosed in the steel tube, with no vent slots on the sides, top or bottom, strict attention must be paid to cleanliness. I keep two narrow-spout squeeze bottles on hand while showering. One is a dilute solution of anti-bacterial soap and water and the other is just rinse-water. With the narrow spouts, I can work all the way around the inside of the tube with the soap and the rinse water. After that, so far, drip-drying seems to be doing the trick.

Tips:

Based on personal experience...your conditions may vary!

1-Don't loose the keys! You are seriously screwed if you do. This is a serious device and if fitted properly, you are stuck in it until a key is used or a locksmith consulted.

2-Tube sizing. Get a diameter that is only slightly larger than your penis diameter, while semi-erect. Specify a length that is about a half inch longer than your semi-erect length. When working your way into the tube do not use a lubricant. It can be done. Through poking, prodding, and squeezing, endeavor to work your way all the way down into the tube when donning. Somehow, this approach goes a long way toward preventing nocturnal erections from pushing the whole tube, and the A-ring with it, away from your body.

3-Baby oil gel with Aloe Vera. This is wonderful stuff. If applied to the front and back of the A-ring and surrounding skin, your comfort level will increase markedly, chafe issues in this sensitive area will almost disappear.

4-Keeping the device "High and Tight." I am considering incorporating a belt that will serve to keep the Steelheart up high against the body where it belongs. I think that this may solve the remaining issues of security without the cost of a full-blown chastity belt. I have not found exactly what I'm looking for, but I have seen a couple of good ideas. One is a custom made belt, very elegant, depicted at (http://www.locknkeep.com/locknkeep/21/pic_display.asp?id=915), and other would be along the lines of the CBX000 security belt by LockedInSteel.com (http://www.lockedinsteel.com/?Cat=63&CatName=CB3000%20Security%20Belt)

Feel free to contact me if you care to discuss this chastity device.
