Another attempt to make the cb2000 secure

Submitted by: Fax

Here's yet another idea to help make the cb2000 more secure. As always, it may be effective for some not others. See what you think.

Brief description

A short length of wooden dowel is sanded smooth and one end is rounded. A small hole is drilled through the bottom of the A ring so as to allow the dowel to be attached at one end with an anti-vandal screw.

The bar serves to help prevent possibly the cb2000s greatest problem: pull out by means of pushing the A ring forward from the body at the top. However it works from the underside!

Care should be taken when drilling the plastic to prevent destruction of one of your A rings. If the difficulty in getting into the modified cb2000 is anything to go by, getting out should certainly be harder than before!

If the new device appears to be an improvement, the user can of course replace this prototype model with a stronger version of their own: (Eg. the right-angle between the ring and bar is currently put under a little too much strain). I make no comments as to the safety of wearing this modification.
