Review of rubber Gates of Hell chastity

Submitted by: Sir Richard

I recently purchased a 5 ring rubber "gates of hell" device for $14.95 to use as a chastity, as I had read on this site.

Basically, the device is secured only by a single rubber ring around the base of the cock and balls, and "locks" on by locking the base ring to the 5th ring after the penis is encircled by all the rings. My question was, if you can squeeze into it, why can't you squeeze out of it? And indeed, I was disappointed to discover that that is the case. In the morning, when my penis and scrotum were completely relaxed, I discovered that one ball had squeezed through the base ring, and was able without too much difficulty to squeeze the other through the locked device, and it just fell off. Maybe the rings could be tighter, but I don't see how merely locking one ring to another can secure it on.

In addition, Mistress was a little concerned with the ease with which the base ring might be cut with a small scissors, fingernail clipper, razor blade, pocket knife, or other small implement.

My minimum qualification for a chastity device is that it be impossible to orgasm while wearing it, and secure enough that it cannot be removed without special tools. The rubber gates of hell doesn't make the cut, in my estimation. The rubber gates of hell might be an interesting scene toy, and looks rather imposing when displayed on an erect penis, but that's about all it's good for.

The rubber gates of hell is sold in many places, and is not advertised as a chastity device. I got mine at Leather Masters, San Jose, CA.
