Three days in the Water Hole belt

water.jpg The Water Hole belt is basically a locking jock cup. The belting material is nylon webbing with two leg straps (like a jock) all connecting to a large adult Bike cup. The belt locks in the back. The cup has numerous holes drilled in to it to allow for urine drainage. It is reasonably comfortable.

There are a few modifications which must be made to this device to allow for its increased comfort and security (i.e., preventing the user from removing himself from the belt).

First, comfort. The belt locks by inserting a small padlock through holes in the back of the belt. This is asthetically pleasing, but it rests squarely in the small of the back, which begins to get uncomfortable when clothing is worn over it (and for any long term wear, cloths gotta go on sometime). This also makes sleeping on one;s back irritating at the least.

This problem is overcome by making the belt longer (cutting and riviting was the method I choose, but there are many ways) and locking it in front, just next to the cup. This is much more comfortable for the wearer and still looks great because the lock is plainly vivible from the front of the belt.

The second problem is the leg straps. The leg straps attach to the belt by looping over it - allowing for a great deal of adjustment. However, this is quite detrimental to the belt's security. The preferred method of changing this is to put the belt on and mark the tighest - yet still comfortable - position for the leg straps. Once these are marked, the belt can be removed and the leg straps permanently attached with rivets or your preferred method.

This greatly increases the security of the belt. However, I stress the need for the tighest - yet still comfortable - position since the belt will apply pressure on the lower back after 4-8 hours of wear. This usually results in a slight stooping when walking. Adjust carefully.

The third modification I will discuss involves a combination of comfort, security, and hygene. This belt gets pretty messy after the first urination. Drilling more holes helps, but it just is not enough. This cup will begin to smell after the first urination and will not get better until it's taken off and cleaned.

For any serious amount of time (days), the best option in to also wear an external male catheter. These are painless, plastic "condoms" which unroll over the penis and adhere using a surgical adhesive. The end of the "Texas" catheter is a 1-inch 1/4inch diamater tube. This tube can be pulled thropugh one of the holes (usually the bottom one) of the cup, which insures that the uring passes directly out of the cup and does not get inside it. Yes, one must sit to pee. This eliminates the odors associated with this type of device and increases belt security by keping the penis held downward - if you do any major squirming in this belt the penis can point upwards, and then all security is bascially lost.

The "Texas" catheter usually stays on for about two days, then looses its adhesion due to the fluids which will always build up on the inside. They cost about 5$ from Mr. S.

In summary, this can be a fun belt for a few days (or even just a few hours) of wear. For the longer term, significant yet simple modifications should be made to increase comfort and security. This belt will not prevent a man with moderate desperation from ejaculating - nylon webbing cuts with ease. It should be considered fun but insecure.
