Chastity belts make the local newspaper...Submitted by: Ms ArielFrom the Herald Sun, Melbourne, Australia Safety Belts Thriving Chastity belts are making a worldwide comeback. Manufacturer Giuseppe Acacia of the medieval Italian town of Gubbio, in central Italy, says he is selling 800-1000 belts a year.
Mr Acacia has been manufacturing the iron devices - used in the Middle Ages to prevent women having sex - for 15 years. "We started producing them without imagining the success they might enjoy" Mr Acacia said. "People buy them as an ornament for their homes or to play a joke, but some actually plan to use them." Women's units cost Aus $195 (US $390) and the surprisingly popular male models retail for Aus $ 222 (US $444) before tax. Submitted by Ms Ariel who wonders why they find it so surprising that women are buying them for their menfolk....... Warmest regards from the mistress of a chaste and squirming slaveboy! Ms Ariel
