CB in York Dungeon Museum

Hello,

On visit to the York Dungeon I have come across a cb displayed in this venue. Different to the Tollyboy design one has to put the centre shield in place first and then close the sides.

Considering some details of the design I am tempted to think that this probable replica has been built for display purpose only, on the other hand the design is not too dumb. Also, with the side pieces flexible in the hinges, I wonder how effective it could have been if such think actually had been worn.

Especially the slit in the side parts is something new to me.
