Altairboy:
Just a note to inform you that I think "Reliable Spousal Security Co." may be a total rip-off. I had sent them a deposit on a custom design and all seemed well at 1st, with lots of e-mail and finialized design responses and then delay after delay seemed to set in. I have given up hope and they have not returned any e-mail to me, and now it seems there are others who are in the same state. If you have any positive or negative experiences, please send to Altairboy@aol.com - Lets not allow other people to be ripped-off by these imposters.
Dear Altairboy:
Your web site is awesome! By far the most comprehensive on the net. As a frequent visitor, I especially like the newstuff page.
Myself, Mike Deering, and my partner, Mike Bradshaw, are going into business making chastity belts. Our web site is http://www.respsec.com/ and our company name is RELIABLE SPOUSAL SECURITY, or RSS for short. Our company goal is to satisfy the customer.
My background is electronic engineering and military hardware manufacturing quality control. Mike Bradshaw has over twenty years experience in machining and welding. We both currently work for a large jet engine manufacturer, although, we are hoping to be able to be making chastity belts full time. Please feel free to post this or anything from our web site. Keep up the good work on your web site.
You asked how long have I been in business?
I started making chastity belts for money the middle of 1997. We are registered with the State of Florida and the IRS as Reliable Spousal Security. Things got a lot easier when I took on my partner, Mike Bradshaw. He has enabled me to improve production processes. He has extensive knowledge of machining and welding. Through a combination of in-house facilities and subcontracting I have virtually unlimited capacity.
The chain. We use a variety of waistband materials: dog chain, ID bracelet chain, sash chain, round chain, round bar, flat band, or whatever the customer specifies. The advantages of chain over flat band is the flexibility to body shape and the elimination of sharp edge pressure points. Some customers are really into the chain aesthetic and want the chain bare, others prefer the chain covered with a clear silicone tubing for comfort. It really comes down to personal preference and we aim to satisfy the customer. We don't have a standard model. I don't think we've ever built two exactly the same.
The lock. The lock is a standard round key cam lock you might find on tool box drawers. The front plate is really two plates locked together. The first plate has sleeves that slip over posts on the second plate. The waist band is attached by putting the chain or other hardware over the sleeve and the plates locked together. Kind of like Walter's but without the hinge.
Our web site's attitude reflects my own. I've worked at so many companies where a sense of humor was taboo that I always thought if I ever start my own business things are going to be different. I'm glad you thought it was well done, but, it is definitely no joke.
The gift shop is something my wife is working on and is still in the design stage. She intends to have silk-screened underwear, night shirts, chastity belt ear rings, key chains, pins, slogan coffee cups, pens, etc.
It is my hope that I will see my product and website featured on yours. In your nobel endeavor to present an unbiased comprehensive site it would only be logical to at least mention each manufacturer. If there is any information I can supply, I would be glad to do so. I understand that it takes time to produce web pages that are well designed and you do a very good job of that. But I am anxious to see my site up there with the others. If there is any more information I can supply, I would be glad to do so.
