Hi Altairboy:

The images below were scanned from the 1930 catalogue of Allen & Hanburys Ltd., 48 Wigmore Street, London W1. The catalogue is titled: "A Reference List of Surgical Instruments and Medical Appliances, Orthopaedic and Deformity Apparatus, Hospital Furniture and Equipment, Electro-Medical and Surgical Apparatus, etc."

anti2528.jpg No 2528 - Jugum Penis, screw action, nickel plated each £0 - 6s. - 0d. ant2528a.jpg NO 2528a - Ditto with spring, three sizes each £0 - 10s. - 6d.

John comments: These were used to deter "nocturnal emissions" by causing sufficient pain to waken the sleeper if nocturnal erections occurred. At that time the exchange rate was $US5 to the £1, so the first would be $1:50, and the second $2:62

anti8690.jpg No 8690 - Masturbation Appliance, consisting of stout coutil belt, nickel-plated cage with padded edges, and rubber understraps. each from £2 - 5s. - 0d. No 8691 - Ditto with leather belt, padlock and key each from £3 - 5s. - 0d.

Measurements required: Circumference at two inches below the iliac crest, the tape meeting over the symphysis pubis. State sex and age of patient.

John comments: The last two appear amongst a group of restraint apparatus intended for mental patients: there is a strait jacket on the same page and manacles for fastening a patient to the bed are featured on the previous page. Prices are equivalent to $11:25 and $16:25
