Steelworxx - Steelheart

Submitted by: Sean

Well, having received this unit on 8/7, I can now do an early evaluation of it. It can be viewed at http://www.steelworxx.de/en/html/kg.htm. The model I am wearing is the Steelheart and I opted for the integrated lock (there is an "extras" link on the left of the page that will take you to another page that displays that lock.

Construction:

The device is very well made and well finished. There are no rough spots or blemishes or anything of that nature. The tube fits to the ring very well - free play is almost nonexistent. It is very solid and there are no spacers of any sort or removable pins. Once the ring is applied, the tube section is easily slid into place. Then they are locked together with a quick turn of the key. My wife/keyholder is delighted with this mechanism as she is less that mechanically inclined and enjoys securing me to the bed every other night or so and removing the cage to bring me "almost" to orgasm. By the way, she also is much more impressed with the appearance of this device than she was with the CB3000.

Comfort:

So far, it is quite as comfortable as the CB-3000. It is, of course, a bit heavier, being made of stainless steel but not all that much so. The overnight stiffies to which I am prone cause some burning under the ball sack if I don't apply the baby oil gel before going to bed, but that occurred with the 3000 as well. The single hole at the end of the tube provides adequate drainage for urinating and I can pee standing up again (with a bit of care). I found the 3000, with its multiple openings at the end often created splatter, required that I sit for that process.

Security:

This was one of the reasons I purchased this unit. There's a bit less of the honor system involved in the process. With the 3000, it would be quite easy to snip the lock without damaging the device itself and, although I would not have done it, the ability to do so was present. With the Steelheart and the integrated lock system, removal would require the drilling out of the integrated lock - in other words, the destruction of the device. Yes, I could still do it but, after shelling out just shy of 300 dollars for it, my wife/keyholder would be pissed (to say the least) for a very long time. So, just like a full belt, if you wish to remove it without the key, you will be writing off the cost of the device.

Conclusion:

I feel comfortable in recommending this device to anyone considering an acrylic version such as the Curve or CB-3000. It is more attractive, more secure and not much more expensive. I'll post an update in a month or so. I've been told that my next release "may" be around Christmastime. If anyone has questions I can answer, I would be delighted to try to do so.

Regards,

Sean
