CB-3000 is not secure

Submitted by: Prg.X

I've found it to be much more comfortable, secure, and hidden that the CB-2000 ever was. Though I had the CB-2000 rings, I ordered the "full set", because I wanted to try the hinged rings... unfortunately, that was a complete waste of money. What I've read is true... the rivet and the seam (I guess) in the hinged ring make it totally unsuitable for long term wear. But, using the solid CB-2000 ring made it just about perfect.

Service was (as usual for the Miller's) fantastic... I ordered with next day shipping, and had the cage two days later.

Now, if only I could solve the edema problem :-( Right now, it seems the cage will need to be a "short-term" toy; but, after numerous cages (including CB-2000, BirdCage, Remy), two of Lori's tubes, and a Goethal's belt, I'd have to say this is the best device we've ever gotten our hands on.

Since the edema has been a recurring theme for me, I'm wondering if I'll experience the same with what we had considered to be the "last resort" (becuase of price)... a Neosteel belt. I'm just not willing to spend most of $1000 to obtain another unsuitable device that ends up being little more than a short-term toy.

Maybe some dreams weren't meant to be.

One week later...

Just thought I'd write a quick followup to what I wrote earlier regarding the CB-3000...

I've spent more time wearing it, increasing duration and activity slowly, as suggested, to see if the edema problem would resolve itself. In that respect, things do seem to be getting better.

But, I've found that it shares that same problem I've had with every "trapped ball" device so far: I can get out. Well, not "out-out", but, "out-enough" to do the deed.

I'm moderately well endowed, especially in the width department, and I don't think a smaller size would help, if it were possible. So, I guess I'm going to be looking at other ideas, most likely based around my PA piercing. In all this time, I'm amazed that I still can't find a locking circular barbell on the web... does anyone know of a jewler that has made one? I had some contact with steelwerksextreme.com, but I got the impression they didn't have much interest in doing custom work for small gauges (I really don't want to go beyond 10# in my PA).

I've also looked at applying "Roberts CB-2000" solution to the device; but, I'm not convinced I can make it work, and I'm loathe to destroy another device trying.
