Lori's Tube Review

Submitted by: Anonymous

I purchased a "Lori's Tube" from someone that had been advertised on the used-cb page on AB's web site. It is a curved and hooded model using a PA piercing for security. Here is my review of the device, but please remember each person's experience could be different.

Security

My first reaction upon unwrapping the device was that it was very heavy and massive. This is a serious device. You are not going to cut this thing off. The only weak points I could see were the lock itself and the pin.

The lock is quite small, and considering the weight of the device, I am surprised that some sort of high security lock was not provided for. The lock is a simple hasp lock, so the shank could be easily cut. This is similar to the small locks on other chastity devices like the birdcage or the CB2000, so normally I would not feel the lock was a weak point. However in this case, since the tube itself is so massive, this device holds the potential for a much higher level of security than those other devices. One of the circular high security locks like AD is now offering would really improve this device.

The pin is a short piece of stainless steel rod, which prevents pullout by extending thru the wearer's PA piercing. The diameter of this pin is determined by the gauge of the wearer's piercing. So preventing the pin from being cut mostly can't be assured by the thickness of the metal alone. It would be best if the device were designed so that the wearer could not get access to the pin with cutting tools. This device is not designed that way. The pin could pretty easily be cut. As in the case of the lock, normally I would not consider this to be a serious defency, however with so massive a tube, it would seem to be worthwhile to shield the pin from cutting tools.

Comfort

I was concerned about pinching. In my own home made PA-retained tube devices, I was never able to completely solve the problem of pinching especially pinching related to the PA piercing and the pin going thru it. This device has a clever solution to that problem, and I expect no pinching. The PA retension pin is bend in a curve so it enters and leaves the flesh away from any of the other tube parts. This solves the pinching issue, but does reduce the security since the pin can be reached with tools (see above).

The device is so heavy that it needs to be supported. Boxer style underwear are out of the question. But even wearing my tightest briefs, I was unable to stop the device from slipping lower and thus putting continuous pressure on my PA piercing. While this is not painful, I would be concerned about long term wear, this pressure could cause my piercing to migrate.

The lock placement causes some discomfort. It is pressed against the scrotum which is annoying especially because supporting the device with your underwear means that it presses all the more. This and the security issues a hasp style lock raises could both be solved with a circular high security style lock.

Summary

This device is a fun toy and is more secure than most beltless devices. I would advise the long term wearer to add some arrangement to make sure the device stays supported. The wearer may be tempted (as I am) to modify the device to fix the minor issues I have raised in this report, regarding the lock and the pin.
