Tip on measuring for SCC device

Submitted by: Richard

I am trying out my measurements for the SCC Birdcage device. I obtained a pipe clamp (the kind with the worm screw for adjusting). It is exactly .5 inches wide. I measured it for the desired circumferance/diameter, marked it, backed off on the screw, wrapped it in black tape, put it on, and tightened to the mark. I will try it for a few days to see if I can take it.

BTW, can any SCC belt owners comment if it is required that the ring be unremoveable without the cage installed. I think that results in a ring that is too tight to wear for extended periods. With the cage on, there will be only a .5 inch gap (for the medium) between the ring and the cage for the testicles to be squeezed through to remove (ouch). That is why I am wondering if the ring need be so tight that it cannot be removed without the cage on. Thanks in advance.

I hope the measurement tip helps others.

Richard
